An exercise in subtly and restraint, American Apollo posed a unique challenge pushing LED video wall technology to both depict vivid and blinding effects like sunrises and the dropping of bombs during WWII, but also disappear into the background as a dimly lit painting among other actual paintings hung as part of the scenic design. Through careful calibration and a 10-bit HDR workflow to, we were able to bring both nuance and power to this story of identity and artistic inspiration.
