Set in a vibrant 1980s country‑club environment, this production of Verdi’s Falstaff featured dynamic, layered projections that defined each scene, from clubhouse bars and poolside antics to sauna interludes, using large scrim panels extending from fly to stage floor. The design built on previous work (The Shining), reflecting Portland Opera’s embrace of multimedia-forward scenic storytelling.
